gen 7 97 dx 7afe to 4age swap

How many modifications are needed to do the 7afe to 4age swap? I have the 4age here in my garage and my corolla is outside awaiting its transformation. Any help?

You'll need to splice the wiring harnesses together, get custom power steering and AC fittings, and just make sure you've got all the right bits for the swap (ie, wiring diagrams for the 4AGE ECU). It's an A series engine, so the major bits will mount up without modification, it's the more engine specific things that are going to give you trouble.

I figured that out. What I need to know is perhaps the length of the throttle cable or if the throttle cable from the 4age itself was used? Also, The hoses won't be a problem, my dad can make hoses for me. Where could I get the wiring diagram for the 4age? I'm hooking up my a/t to it so I need to know about the second cable coming from the a/t that is connected to the throttle body. There is only one cable coming from 4age throttle body. I will include a picture shortly. I also need to know if 4age ECU will control a/t. I have little time to do this but all the tools.

You'll know the ECU can control an auto if it has "A/T" in big black letters on the sticker on the ECU, if it doesn't say, assume manual. It would definitely help to know which variation of 4AGE you're using... but I guess that'll come with the pictures.

I still having trouble with the pictures but its the 20valve "Silvertop" 4age Twin Cam. It comes with ITB's! The airbox attached to the throttle bodies even says "4 Throttle".

On the throttle body of the 7afe there are 2 cables: one for the accelerator and one that goes to the A/t. What is the cable from the A/t for? I need to know this because I'm hooking my a245e A/t to the 4age.

I'm pretty sure the other cable is responsible for kicking the tranny into 3rd when you stab the throttle to pass someone.

You got it backwards. The TPS signal goes to the ECM to help manage engine functions.
