corolla ceres driving me crazy

hi
im new around these parts.

I own a 1993 toyota ceres. ae100, 5afe. had been running very well always. over the last couple of months it has been nothing but trouble. it will start and drive for days and then one time it just would not start (no spark).

i replaced the distributer and the ECM. an d it worked well for about two weeks. then same thing. replaced the distributer again. this time it fires up and starts but stalls as soon as i start accelerating.

one thing that i noted though is that one of the relays located in the box under the hood (i think it controls the ignition etc.) gets very hot after a very short time.

does this sound familiar to anyone.

i am dying for some advice before my mechanic have me to buy out the whole parts store,

Thanks guys and looking foreward to being an active member
