hey guys i was just wondering what u guys think from this picture,
do you think the frame or something that would be very difficult to fix is bent?
i already got a spare trunk and lights but what do u think? is it gonna need a lot of work to be fixed? it doesnt look to bad in my view but i dont know much about it.. it kinda just looks like the rear quarter panels need to be pushed out a little bit and straightened and new trunk and lights, dont look like theres damage to the bumper.. my moms boyfriend is an autobody mechanic and were going to look at it tomorrow whats ur opinion on it?
it has 133,000 kilometers.. 1994.. how much do u think its worth? worth taking the time to fix it?
thanks
Frame damage can be very slight but straightening is recommended. However, be prepared to spend sum good amount of money to get it back in shape. Both 1/4 panels, trunk lid, rear finish panel, bumper and related parts and possibly the panel that holds the spare tire. It can be done but very time consuming maybe 3 weeks if u have all the parts ready to swap. Decide before considering this purchase, it may cost more than the price ur paying for the Corolla.
How hard was it hit? IMO it may not be bent. If it is, you'll know for sure when you try to get the parts on; they won't line up correctly. Pull the bumper and quarter panel off to look at it too.
I bought it.
Since I have 2 complete shells that are fine, i figured why not.
A small tug and it will be good. It was caught above the rails so its fine.

My old CE100 took a very hard hit in the rear but the chassis was actually okay. Make sure you very thoroughly inspect the driver's seat mounts and the seat frame, I almost guarantee you the seat will be stuffed. Mine completely gave way at the rear in the accident, and it looked like the same happened before (it was also rear ended before I bought it). Furthermore while looking for a replacement seat I found another E100 series that had the seat fail exactly the same way from a rear end hit.
The car will probably be repairable with a bit of effort, but after that sort of impact it'll always be a bit of a bucket that will never be completely right again. Your call on whether it's worth bothering with.

The car wasn't hit as hard as yours seems to have been. Im guessing a truck just caught it above the bumper and pushed it straight in. Underneath it seems straight and its got low enough mileage that it would be good as a beater to putt around in over the winter.
My original reason for buying it was to steal parts off of it and scrap the rest, but it seems almost too good for that.
As for seats, I have 2 parts cars here that have good seats and rear ends to donate to this cause. Just a matter of finding out how it will be the easiest to cut and weld the replacements in. A good make work project.

Yeah, I bought it. I have looked at it a bit further and probably will tackle it in the spring.
My corolla was in the entrance to autopac, you may have seen it on the side of the main drive.

I have 5 7th gens currently. 2 are going to the crusher in the next 2 weeks. I can't keep buying them and hording them. If you or anyone needs parts, speak now as im looking to clean house and have 2 cars, motors, transmissions, and more. I have at least 2 of everything if not more.
I can't go to the auction until the yard is cleared.

Both of you have been replied to. Sorry gold, I don't have what you are looking for as none of the parts cars have power windows and locks. Those seem to be a less then common option on the ones in these parts anyway.
