95 4A FE engine in 96 (crank sensor bypass?)

I had to change my 96 4A FE 1.6l in my corolla and found a 95 corolla 4A FE.
After some inspection I found that there 2 major differences between the engines. First is the EGR system but that is no problem since i will swap the complete intake from my 96 to the 95 engine.

Second thing is the crank sensor which is missing on the 95 engine. How can I bypass this or can i simply swap the oil pump cover to the 95 engine to have the crank sensor. The only visible differnence is the casting to allow the installation of the sensor. But what about the rest, is the oil pump interchangable.

Also is the 96 distributor fit wihout any problem the 95 engine

Thanks!

The oil pumps are interchangeable, you should be able to just swap the cover and reuse the sensor. As far as the distributor, it should fit.
