header question

just ordered some ebay headers. didnt realize they were for a 1.8. i have a 1.6. will they still bolt right on? and is the o2 sensor located in the same place on the header?

The 1.8 has longer headers than the 1.6 due to the extra length of the block for the added displacement, so no, they will not fit.

I think they might be able to fit, but you need the bolt-on o2 sensor, not your stock screw in one. Try returning it and getting the right ones.

Ebay? Anywhere? There are only 2 kinds.... they are all the same, you should be able to find an O2 sensor in a store.... that is the easy part.

should i wrap them bc i was reading that wrapping them traps moisture and in time rusts or cracks the header. i kno it doesnt require a heat shield bc of the lower temperature. and others said theres no need if im not turboing the car.

Doesn't add much power, doesn't add much noise, doesn't through a CEL.

hmm i'd argue against not adding power, butt dyno saw an overall gain on the 7afe with the ebay header. lost a touch of torque down way low, like idle speed to 2000rpm, but from 3500-6000 felt a strong gain. engine felt alot more torquey and responsive overall.
