exhaust manifold leak!

Found a crack in my manifold. It goes all around the left pipe. Just wondering if that's the reason why my car has no power. Alredy changed plugs, cap and rotor, oil changed and new tires. And my car still won't accelerate. I ordered some 4-2-1 SS headers and was wondering if ill see a boost in performace with the headers since I have the cracked manifold...

I had a time installing my exhaust... the bolts were all stuck together at the cat converter.... I had to replace 100% of the exhaust . Maybe check here:

next time you might want to just post all your issues in one thread. The exhaust manifold may rob you of some of the power but the manifold alone is not the only problem. BTW, what is the mileage? Does it smoke any?

A crack in the exhaust manifold can/will cause loss of power at lower RPMs.

Apply good penetrating oil to the fasteners, and let it soak for 15 minutes or so before you attempt to break them loose. No guarantee, of course, but it does help. And good wrenches will help prevent rounding off the fastener heads.

awildman is correct.

FYI, you will probably end up cutting the CAT bolt up locations. The stock CAT for this car runs extremely hot, and rust/moisture will fuse the piping together.

Just be ready to have it welded back together.

i ground the heads off the bolts and knocked the rest of the bolt right on through then just used new bolts.

mine looked just like that, as i said...i ground the heads of the bolts off with an angle grinder then used a hammer and short punch to knock the rest of the bolt through. took about 5 minutes per side to do that.
