gen 7 gauge light wont come on?

ok i have a 1996 corolla and i replaced my radio with an aftermarket one because the first one was ugly and i just didnt like it! so i got the radio to work put it in and drove around all day so night came and when i tried to turn on my lights my lights would come on but my gauge cluster wouldnt! so the next day i went to the junk yard and got a cluster with the rpms on it plugged it in and nothing! so i checked my fuse box inside on the driver left and under the hood and all the fuses were fine! and advice or help? thanks

You probably blew the rheostat (dimmer wheel). They tend to go before a fuse will.

You more then likely blew the dimmer. I did this when I installed my aftermarket radio, you will have to jump the 2 wires together there, or get a new one.

There ya go. The dimmer pops out, if you cant get it free, there is a notch above that entire black plastic shroud there, just above the vent. Use a flat head screw driver to pop it off, and then push the dimmer switch through.

Yep, the dimmer is probably bad... I've broken 2 myself.... try jumping the wires together on the back of the connector (I forget which 2) and see if that works.
