Urgent help on 5A-FE auto gear box
Hello all, my auto gearbox in my 96 corolla (5A-FE engine) blew. I had it replaced today with a used gearbox. My previous gear didn't have the O/D option but this new gear has this option.
The problem is that now the gears are shifting very late. The first shifts at 70Km/h and the second at 120 km/h when i give it every thing.
When I drive it a little less wildly i'm able to change from the first gear at about 30km/h and then the second gear after 80km/h.
Is this cos of the O/D option which is not being utilized or is the gear faulty?
Can i attach a switch to use the O/D feature directly with a button on my dash?
Please help!
The gear was faulty, had it changed works fine now
