Changing pads

Ive got a 1997 Corolla Conquest.

This is for the rear wheels: I have removed 3 bolts, 2 that hold the caliper braket and one at the bottom of the caliper. Still the caplier isnt coming off.

There doesnt seem to be any other bolts that i can remove. There is nothing at the top of the caliper. there seems to be a round thing where a bolt would normally sit but there is no way to remove it. However the front calipers have bolts holding the top and the bottom in.

What bolt am I missing for the rears?

This is the bottom of the caliper.. no problems here..

With this picture, the round thing in the centre is at the top of the caliper where i think should be a bolt. This is what i cannot remove. In the middle of the round thing is a rubber peice. The bolt on the right is holding the bracket and that has been removed.

at the bottom of the caliper i'm seeing a caliper slide bolt still installed and a caliper bracket bolt also still installed.

you need to remove the bottom bolt then the whole caliper pivots around the top pin like a hinge and then once its clear of the rotor it slides back from off the top pin. then you need to remove the bracket to remove the rotor from the car.

or you can just unbolt the bracket then pull the lower slide pin, then slide the caliper off the top pin.

be sure to re-lube the slide pins and the slides with fresh silicone grease before you go back together.
