Exclamation Gas door release spring

Is there a spring on the gas door that pushes it out when you pull the release lever? My sons Corolla gas door does not pop open like it did before.Can someone post a pic of their gas door in the open position,please?

yes, like most toyotas its a little bent bit of spring steel near the hinge.

open the door, look at the hinge, you'll see it in there between the 2 hinges and uh yea.

its cold and dark now, maybe if i remember in the morning.

or you know...you could like google these things. because i'm about 100% sure you can not only find a photo of it with google but you can also buy a new one from google search results.

So, does the door open when you pry it after pulling the latch? Or does it not even unlatch. He could always use the key to open it..... let's see if my old pic will work here.
