gen 7 1.6 has a problem. Help.

OK, got a 96 corolla 1.6 with 130 thousand has a miss with no other code than a miss in #3. The wife said it was running fine the the check engine light came on and it started to flash and she lost power.. Has good spark, cap, rotor, wires & plugs. Misses when you put into drive or reverse. Has no power of course. Cleared the CEL and looked for broken wires, fuses and anything that would cause it, with no luck. Motor does idles ok. Some times it acts like its flooded when you floor it but, as up leave up slightly, it smooth out? Think it could be a bad injector?
OH, one more thing.. Last winter I had a really hard time getting it to start in real cold weather. Had to hold it to the floor some time to even get it to start. Acted like it was flooded?

I'm up in arms so, I ask all of you guys for some advise on this matter. I thank all you for helping me, if I forget to say thanks!

pull the cap and inspect it very well, a carbon track or a small crack in it will cause a misfire, also check the rotor as well as the #3 wire, try swapping the wire with #4 or #2.
