94 geo prizm, want to install double din dvd

Hey guys, my father and i just picked up a 94 geo prizm and i was wondering how many small bits and pieces of the corolla are comparable with this car. specifically the stereo and interior pieces. the geo has a chevy oem radio in which is a double din and i want to install my jvc kwavx810 double din head unit in its place. would my doble din fit? would i need a dash kit? can i use a 94 corolla radio harness plug or should i get a 94 geo specific one?

minor side note
i see the headlights are pretty different in shape
would corolla headlights fit the geo with no modding?

Most of the drivetrain is compatible, the interior is swappable but not interchangeable., exterior lights don't fit. You should be able to replace the factory double din with an aftermarket one, the Corolla harness adapter should work with the Geo.

I don't have a picture, but that's not the right one. The one for the Corolla/Prizm is two plugs, one for the front speakers, power, etc and another for the rear speakers. I'll attach a plug pinout so you can get an idea of what to look for.

Wait for Gold94Corolla to see this, he will chime in on this. He has a Corolla, with a Prizm Dash with a Double Din unit.

i think thats the celica harness for one with the factory amp, which needs to have resistors wired up inline with the RCA's to work correctly (issues with the signal termination or lack of and picking up engine noise or something).

Yeah, I have a Prizm dash and a double din in my Corolla, but I still have the Corolla wires, so I don't ....... never mind, yes, they are the same exact wires/connectors. You can get the wiring harness for the Corolla.

Check these threads for a lot more info:
Sony Stereo deck wiring
1996 Corolla stereo

As for the lights from the Corolla fitting the Prizm, check this thread (another forum, I don't feel like writing it all again here LOL):
