I have a 1995 Corolla base model with no intermittent wipers. My question is. If I were to get the wiper stalk with the intermittent function and use it to replace my non intermittent stalk, will it do the intermitten function or will I need something else? Also does any one have with pics, instructions on how to remove it?
One more thing I've been looking at the wiper stalks being sold on ebay, is it attached to the clock spirng along with the headlight stalk?

While I have no idea how to actually replace it, yes, if you replace the non-intermittent with and intermittent stalk you will have intermittent wipers.
Yeah, you need to replace both stalks at once. I'm not sure if just replacing the stalk will work, though.... unless the variable delay mechanism is in the switch.
Actually, I'm in the process of replacing my steering wheel, and I have a new stalk switch that I want to swap in. When I do, I'll let you know what the difference is between the two switches.

Thanks! I really appreciate it.
P.S. anyone on cardomain at this moment having the same problem, the pics no matter what profile I visit are not showing?

Wow, I didn't realize that's all there is to it. My hand been tired having to do the "manual" intermittent wiper, not to mention it's quite dangerous. But please do inform us of what you find.
I have been asked this question before. The combination switch has to be replaced. Which means you have to remove the steering wheel and remove the entire combination switch. But I don't know if they use the same connector. That should be all. The actual motor should still work with both combination switches. I believe all the circuitry is in the switch.
i guess you are converting to intermittent wipers.
need correct wiper motor and the multifunction switch assembly from car with intermittent

has anyone done this since december? i just got a 99 tacoma with non-intermittent wipers, and i'm considering trying to convert it with the intermittent wiper hardware from my 94 toyota pickup.
if i dig into it, will it be apparent what the combination switch is? sounds like i'd need to switch the motor, too?
I found this thread when I was doing my research and I just wanted to add some info for anyone else searching on how to convert to intermittent wipers. I just did this conversion and I can confirm that the only thing that needs to be swapped is the intermittent wiper switch/stalk. Also, all the wiring is the same between the intermittent and non-intermittent wipers so you just have to match up and splice the 6 or so wires together. You could also re-pin it at the plug but that would have required a lot more work IMO. The hardest part of the swap for me was getting the airbag and steering wheel off. Everything else is pretty straight forward if you pay attention to how things come apart.
