I just did a front brake job on my 96 corolla and I noticed when I was bleeding the brakes whenever the brake pedal was pushed down the front parking lights (amber corner markers) came on as well as the brake lights. I don't recall this happening before. this is all happening with the key out of the ignition. Also I noticed that when I had my drivers door open and pushed the brake pedal the drivers door chime went off? Has anyone else had this problem before or is it normal.

Do your brake lights turn on when you turn on the parking lights?? If so, then you need to replace one or more of your tail light bulbs to start!

yeah i just checked that and my brake lights are on when my parking lights are on so i'll have to check the bulbs.

Yep, OK, that is the problem! Good luck. Sometimes the bulbs can fuse the two circuits together...... you're like the 3rd person with this problem this month LOL.
