Pistions

I'm not sure about this, Do 4AFE's and 7AFE's have the same pistions? The 1.8 just has a taller deck for the extra stroke right?

No. Larger displacement = larger piston. The tops of the piston are the different too.

They have the same bore 3.190 or 81mm, If there differnt its where the pin is placed on the pistion. You obvisley dont know what your talking about.

My bad on the size, but I know for a fact the tops are different based on my Haynes book. Btw, a quick ebay search would also show the two pistons are different. What are you looking for these for anyway? If it's a rebuild, just buy a new engine.

Actually the pistons have some differences. The piston top is shaped different. A couple other differences to match the longer compression stroke on the 7AFE. They're actually more rigid than the 4AFE pistons
