Headlight question

Hey everyone,
Okay, I just ordered a headlight/parking light kit for my friend's '95 Corolla base model. I just got them in & the parking light is fine but the headlights have a socket which appears to be for a 9003 bulb & another bulb w/in the housing that appears to be a 168 bulb. Did they really have a 9003 headlight system for the 7th gen Corolla? I always thought the universal design for the 7th gen Corolla was that the headlights were 9006 & the high beams were 9005's. Here is the link to the headlight system that I bought. Now, is there any re-wiring i could do or should I just return it & try to find something else.

You're going to have plenty of trouble with those. To mention a few things, you'll need a new plug for the correct bulb and they won't fit with the factory grill.

Hey,
Thanks for the input, I think I'm just going to get these instead, makes life a lot easier. Here's the headlights I'm going to make him order, straight plug-n-play.

JDM Corollas ran the single 9003 bulb in their headlights, the set you bought are replicas.

Just do an H4 conversion to run the 1st set of headlights... BLUEMEANIE has posted a wiring diagram of how to hook them up. Just do a search and you'll come across it. You'll have to convert the corner lights to run the specified bulbs.

Buy the wiring harnesses from any auto parts store and make your life easier.

And to add... the second set of lights are hella ugly IMO.

Looks like it's a custom job.... try to message the seller, perhaps they might know.

Well, the other ones came in, I haven't put them in my friend's car yet. Now, I have the JDM ones which I need to get rid of, they are brand new, I didn't even get a chance to try & put them in. Does anyone want to buy them, I haven't decided on a price yet. Let me know if anyone is interested, no bulbs came w/them. Once my friend comes over, I'm going to make a new thread of his car take pictures of his car & pictures as I change everything.

Yup, that's exactly what they are like. If you like, I can take pictures and sent it to you. If you like, I can send me an e-mail, my e-mail address is amitshah1984@gmail.com, we can talk there. I will let you know exactly what my friend paid for it & then we can go from there. After that, I will let my friend know, by the way where do you live, so I can get an idea how much shipping might be.
