gen 7 Header problem please help mayday

Recently i took my heat shield off my headers, and my headers seemed to just kinda spurt exhaust near the gasket only really at high rpms, but since i took the shield off it seems to tick, only when im giving it the gas not at just a little throttle or none at all. I went to vip and looked at some goop stuff its like seven bucks so im gonna try that for now but i want to eventually get headers for my car which that would fix my problem right?? , but my car has almost a quater of a million miles so the bolts are rusted on to shit. someone told me something about a heli coil or something idk just any feed back will help please, 95' DX 1.8 5 speed

Hey man. Well I have to put on a new gasket. Mine did a similar thing when I had my stock manifold on. I now have a heaeder on, and I love ti. Just got to put on a new gasket and fiz a leak at the cat and downpipe connection.

Well my suggestion is a new gasket at block. I see some for like 20 bucks.

With the miles you mention, you will probably NOT be able to remove the fasteners without the help of a torch. Work smart.

gen 7

yeah i put some of that thermosteel goop shit worked great for now until i can afford the headers back system on ebay for 160$ not bad?? 8$ header fix, works mint fucking toyotas what my dad was tellin me he thinks if i fuck with those headers the bolts are gonna snap and im gonna be screwed but ive had people tell me they all snap since the roads up- here in maine suck with salt and all that shit, but i have no rust on the car just those bolts are swelled up with rust someone told me that they snap you drill it out and put a helicoil in it but since the block is aluminum you have to be really careful because you can screw the whole engine up if you mess up drilling right??
