My 93 1.8L engine says 4A-FE on it?

That means the original 1.8 liter engine was replaced with a 1.6 liter engine?

What model Corolla do you have? I'm assuming you're guessing the engine should be a 1.8 by the emissions sticker? On the engine block, I believe below the top radiator hose and to the right of the headers there should be a little, vertical, rectangular plate with the engine model number on it. you'll like need to clean the gunk off but I think that is where the engine model number is.

Yes, I have the DX model. The sticker on the hood says 1.8L and 7A-FE.

The first picture, that's where it says 4A-FE on it. That is the distributor?

my dis says 4afe as well, don't read too deeply into it. the vin on the front of the block will tell what engine you have.
