93 Toyota Corolla Coolant Issue

Coolant started leaking today pretty bad from my 93 Toyota corolla, managed to get this picture of where its leaking and was wondering if anyone could tell me what piece it is I need to get for my car to get it fixed. I tihnk its a freeze plug but I wanted to know what size I would need, if anyone could send me a link to a specific part to get for it, also are the metal or rubber freeze plugs better? If its not a freez plug please let me know what part this is and still send a link if possible.

Ok so freez plug has been determined, but as previously stated, which is better the rubber ones or the metal ones? Also when I was looking on checkerauto.com there were many sizes of freeze plugs you could get or they were under the freeze plug section, so I wanna make sure I get the right size.

If you can get one with a rubber seal at this point, one that screws in your probably better off. That edge may not be even (pitted or corroded) for another plug to seal properly, where a rubber seal will form to the surface to seal. In colder climates, we usually put a block heater in there and it goes in with the rubber gasket.

I would not use a rubber plug as a long term fix. I would install a new brass freeze plug and if you were worried about seepage due to a rough edge on the block, I would apply a small amount of black RTV around the block surface before installing the new freeze plug.

Also, while you are at it, I would replace as many as you can get to easily, because experience says that if one has failed, the others aren't far behind.
