water trought the booster vacuum line to clean the engine
has anyone done this, putting water trought the booster vacuum line to clean the engine internals,
my neighbor done that this morning and his car idles smoother and it feels like a much younger car, sentra 96.
he feed a little bit then revved the engine then some more and some more revs, and he did that with a cup of water, once emptied he told me to test drive the car, previously tested by me, and it's more responsive to throttle inputs, more stable acceleration...
i will do it tomorrow in my corolla 93 4a-fe, results to come soon, if u do, don't let the engine drink it all at the time, the engine will rev slower, then before killing it rev it by "hand".
if you let all the water go you may hydrolock your engine
thats an OLD school trick and it does work very very well. another trick is running some auto trans fluid in your engine oil, like 1/2 qt. its high in detergents and seal conditioning additives and will clean the engine gently as well as help keep seals soft and supple.
please explain...I'm confused. What is this craziness about adding water to the engine???
steam is a great cleaner. you allow some water to be sucked into the engine (a small amount). in the combustion chamber it flash boils and the steam cleans the carbon deposits. it works exceedingly well and is almost fool proof to do. if you've ever seen an engine with a blown headgasket that was burning coolant, the cylinder burning coolant is the cleanest cylinder.
I would not recommend the ATF into crankcase, a trick done by many old timers. You'd be better off using a dual rated passenger car/diesel oil such as rotella, delo, delvac. These oils are loaded with detergents and can be found in 10w-30, run 'em for a couple of intervals.
ATF doesn't have to deal with the byproducts of combustion.
Can someone break this down, into what your doing with this? I am at a loss as to what water trought is?
Someone break ti down, step by step. I am having a retard attack.

So I pull off one of the brake booster vacum lines, then pour in a little bit of water?
Then what?

then let the engine get some water , NOT INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER, but let the ? line to absorb some, in 1 sec intervals or so, usea a cup of water, and rev your engine from time to time to allow it to clean without stalling, then go for a drive at high RPM then Voila!
