Radiator Fluid

I have a 195 Corolla DX 3 spd Auto and for the past month or so the radiator fluid has been consumed faster than normal. I live in central ct so the temperature drops pretty low. Any ideas why this problem is happening?

I dont think that your car should be consuming ANY coolant at all if its working properly. That being said, I would have to imagine that it consumes more in colder weather because hoses and gaskets will shrink in the cold, and not expand until the engine is warm, thus allowing some coolant to escape.

yea...the difference in hoses shrinking should not make a big difference. If you say consuming since you don't see a leak. It must be going somewhere. Hopefully not mixing with oil or something.
