corolla parts interchangebility

I looked around but couldn't find a complete list of other generation Corolla parts that our interchangeable with our 7th gen vehicles.

Is there a sticky or database somewhere?

I have a pair of sun visors off a 98-02 Corolla/Prism that I want to buy off ebay but I'm not sure if they will fit?

Junk yards have a book that tells what year parts fit what. Try a phone call.

well, most 7th gen to 8th gen parts are NOT interchangeable. I'm not sure about the visors though. 7th gen visors are held on by 3 screws in a triangular mounting piece. Not sure about the 8th gen ones. Just compare the two would be best.

Well I tried to eye ball it but I'm no pro.

It has 3 screws for mounting and the hook on the opposite end.

I will say, they look alike. I would try swapping one at a junk yard before spending $40 bucks

I bet you can get those visors for $10 from a junkyard. They may well be the same, as the rear view mirror is between generations.

Well I'm going to check out the junkyard this weekend hopefully.

Just got a digital clock off a 93-97 Prism and it works great. Also waiting on my speedo with tach. Got them both off ebay for a good price.

I think I'm going to edit my 1st post and add in parts as I find out, perhaps this could help other members.

1) Why do you want the sun visors out of an 8th gen? Just get the 7th gen ones! They are all over Ebay.
2) The 93-97 Prizm did NOT come with a clock. There is no place for it LOL.

I know that the suspension between the 7th and 8th gen is the same....... automatic shifter lol.. not much else.

so 93-97 Prisms, none were optioned with a clock? Hmm

So I guess its just from 93-97 Corollas then. In the ebay post the ad stated it will fit 93-97 Corollas/Prisms so I just assumed. I'll edit my 1st post.

Also my sunvisors don't have a mirror on the underside with the sliding cover, the one I saw from the 8th gen and figured that would be a nice addition to the car.

diff topic:

Does anyone have a picture of where the starter is on my 97 corolla?

Is it right behind the engine, I can't seem to find it. I'm getting that clicking noise when I tried to start it and I want to try replacing the sensor before I go out and buy a new starter.

Thanks
