Question Changed the T-stat now the check engine light is on?

P0340 Camshaft Sensor Bank 1 circuit malfunction engine code.

I replaced the T-stat this weekend with an aftermarket and now the heat works great and the engine temp is normal but the check engine light is on. I took it to Advanced Auto to have it scanned and it showed the above engine code.
Is it possible that the aftermarket T-stat is causing the light to come on? Could have I bumped the dist. cap/wiring or any other sensor wiring?
Could this be a pre-existing problem that became present when the cooling system was corrected?
Also, during the removal of the T-stat I didnt have the battery disconnected and there were some sensor wires zip tied to the lower rad. hose. When I moved the hose it caused some clicking (like relays contacting) near the battery? Is this bad?

Can anyone give me a hand here?

Much appreciated.

Yes. You admittted it! Check the wres you disturbed carefully and see if they came unplugged or are damaged and need repairs. Sorry I cant tell you exactly which wires and where for that sensor.
