Quick Question

I'm just curious, let me just throw out there that I'm a noob. How do I know if my Corolla has ABS? I drive a 96 DX if that is of any help.

when you turn the car on there will be light that on the instrument panel that says "ABS". this is in the case that you do have ABS. if you dont, this light will not turn on. You can also go onto an empty road with NO TRAFFIC and go about 20mph and slam on the brakes. You should feel a vibration on the brake pedal when braking. That means that the ABS is working and your tires wont lock.

If you had ABS there would be a pump over in the passenger side of the engine bay behind the headlight. If you don't, you'll have a windshield washer fluid tank sitting there instead of the one that goes into the bumper found on ABS equipped models.

I found out on the expressway off ramp when it iced over last week.

The realization of "wait a minute shouldn't the pedal be pulsating or something?"
