Does a long block motor from a 2000 Corolla fit in a base 1993?

IM guessing I have a base because it has manual windows and locks.

but why don't you look for a more easy to swap engine??? A family are direct bolt on's IIRC

yea swap in a blacktop or silvertop ther easier to install and they have the power those engines are more of the economic type

Your motor is the 1ZZ-FE you'll need a wiring harness, custom motor mounts, and possibly custom axles for it. The motor physically fits no problem.

EDIT: You'll need to make sure you use the transmission that came with the 1ZZ-FE motor as well

With a 2zz it may be a worth while endeavor, but I wouldn't consider that for a 1zz. A stock replacement motor is about 4-500, and you won't get anywhere with the 1zz for that much. Lots of fabrication and custom work needed to pull it off. The motor/trans may bolt over with the subframe, but exhaust would need work, shifter linkage perhaps, harnesses, lots of work.
