should i replace the headgasket?

Details on car

1994 corolla Base model
4afe with 162k miles ( made in japan )
5sp Manual

the car gets driven M-F about 15miles on local roads.
the car rests on saturdays and sundays
the car gets driven appropriately with no abuse
the car has never overheated
Oil changed every 3000 miles regularly
All new belts
The car has not had a radiator flush
Timing belt, valve cover gasket and water pump are new from Toyota done by Toyota.
Cap and rotor have been replaced

Soooo.. should i just change it before it breaks and do it as routine maintenance or should i wait for it to break?

Head gaskets are extremely unlikely to fail, though it does happen, the amount of work you need to put into it is too much to justify any reasonable benefit of replacing it. So no, don't bother with it, it won't break on you for a few hundred thousand more miles.

yea plus when the time comes for it to wear down you can change the other parts as well one time like i did my car had an abusive owner before me so when my head gasket started to fail i changed everything ie. full overhaul.. now i dont have to take apart that engine for years to come lol

Superwhite..........would you wake up a *(healthy)sleeping infant in the middle of the night to see how the baby was doing......

* I would do a coolant flush(I am surprised you didn't do one considering the oil change schedule)
