new alternator still not charging

Hello all. I am having some issues with the alternator on my 94 corolla. The battery light came on and the car died. I could charge the battery and still drive the car. I had the battery tested and it is fine. I put a new alternator in and it was still not charging and the battery light is still on. I checked the fuse under the hood and it is good. Is there another fuse that can cause the alternator not to charge? Also when removing the alternator I pulled out the yellow wire from the engine block according to this post

What's the sensor right underneath the alternator that plugs

it is just an oil pressure sensor and should not affect the charging system. Please help me out. Thank you.

That would seem to indicate that there is wiring amiss somewhere, which is usually a pain to locate. Check to see that all the wires are properly connected and undamaged.

the problems your having are not easily fixed in a forum like this. If you have checked all the easy things like looses connectors you need to find someone good in electrical work.

I have figured it out. The new alternator I bought was just bad off the shelf. All of the wiring was good and the fuses were fine too. I check for power at the grey connector from the car to the alternator and there was power there, meaning that there was no short along the way. Bought a new alternator and it works fine. O'reilly's was a big help the printed off a wiring diagram to help me out.
