Question 7afe raising compression

I am in the middle of rebuilding a 94 corolla 7afe and want to get a little more power out of it and stay N/A so i got a few questions for everyone.. I was thinking of different ways to increase compression an easy way might be 4afe pistons the dish is smaller? and have the head shaved but how much? does anyone know if that will work? also will 4age pistons work on the FE head without bent valves? how do you think it will go on stock fuel with higher octane? i would switch to a GE but just want to keep the stock head got it ported and 3 angle valve job already
Ideas are welcome. Thanks

the 7afe and 4afe share an identical head. The longer stroke in the 7afe makes the pistons a different size as the pin sits higher up in the piston if I recall correctly. I thought about using a redtop (ae92gts) bottom end with the 4afe head at one time and figured it should be a bolt over. You would gain oil squirters, the stronger rods, the higher 4age compression, and the larger bearing journals but at the end of the day decided it wasn't worth the effort for the flow of the 4afe head. I ended up turboing the 4afe and then when desiring a na motor, I rebuilt and installed a 20v instead.
Bill Sherwood disagrees though and claims the 4afe head is a great one, so im at a toss up on it.
