1993 prizm transmission seal leak

Hello,
I am new to the forum, but must say I have already found it very useful. Thank you! I just changed the transmission fluid and filter while looking for clues as to why I was using so much fluid without any visible puddles under the car. I am happy to report there was no particles of metal in the pan at all. I did notice some fluid residue behind the pan. I was able to see a seal above the rear of the pan that I believe is the source of my trouble. How big of a job is it to replace that seal? Thanks for reading...Tom

if your speaking of the "back door" to the crank housing within the trans, its not hard, but your going to need to drain the trans of all the fluid, and get a new trans seal kit from the stealer.
