Brother cracked bottom corner of pass. bumper - sad

I currently feel sad for my 1996 Toyota Corolla 1.6L, because it was in mint condition before my brother borrowed it to go to the mall and 2 hours later, he came home with a big crack at the bottom on the passenger side bumper.

His excuse was he hit a rock in the parking lot that was covered in snow and thought it was just a pile of snow he was going to "plow" through. I am happy he's safe, but i dunno what i should do with the car.

I know it's an old car but I feel sad that before my parents (they had it since brand new) passed it down to me, they kept it in mint condition and so did I after I took over the car. The car is on it's original engine and transmission and the car looks, feels and sounds like it just left the dealership. I know people will say it's just a corolla, but I personally love this car, and I personally been to many places with this car, so I want to drive it till the engine or body dies on me.

I am happy my corolla made it to 205, 981 km on it's original engine and tranny, and hoping it can at least make it to 300K+ before the engine dies

end of my rant

Gutted. Hopefully there is no damage done to the bumper supports. Just whack a new bumper on and hit your brother up for the money .

Yeah, just get a new bumper for it... but make your brother pay, he's the one that wrecked it. 205,000 km is nothing on a Corolla, I've seen wrecked ones in the junkyard with close to 500,000 km on them.

A cover is about 2-300 from the dealer and another 1-2 hundred for paint. Get him to pay up, its price of using the car, you lend it out expecting back in the same condition. This is why rental car companies want your credit card.....

new bumper... solved. You don't have to get it from the dealer... you can get painted ones on Ebay shipped for $200 ish..... maybe not the best paint though lol

Just go to Standard Auto Wreckers and grab a used one.

Bring your brother and have him remove it, pay for it and install it to teach him a valuable lesson.
