There is a total of four trans/motor mounts. Just curious why you changed all but one?

the rearmost one is rather hard to get at and is not as critical as the other 3 are.

I didn't even want to change the front and back. I was thinking about just changing the right one. I have never changed motor mounts before and I was going to see how difficult it was . I'll do the trans mount in the spring . Its pretty cold here in chicago.

I did the lower ball joints today. Required a lot pounding to get those puppies off. (didn't have a ball joint seperater)

An air chisel with a flat punch or blade works great to push them out if you dont have a press.

As with any job done a different way than what the manual says- Work carefully!

youll find more worn out parts as time goes on

these are light duty cars and they have light service parts on them

severe wear is inevitable on virtually every moving part on a car this old and light duty.

its not like the cars they made 30-40 years ago that had heavier service parts on them and lasted forever virtually..

there are certain year make models that are more prone to having bad engine mounts

the 90s ford tauruses are notorious for having bad hydraulic engine mounts

we have replaced many over the years, and they are always junk bad,,

and ball joints on the FWD cars of any year make model are commonly worn out by the time they hit 100k miles, sometimes considerably less mileage than that even..

good luck
