4AFE to 4AGZE Swap.

Hey guys, I'm new here, and I was just looking for some feedback on this swap. For those of you that have done it, what modifications were needed (besides wiring...ugh)? I've done some research to find that there may be a clearcance issue with the intercooler on top of the supercharger. Is it true. Also, I bought a manual tranny with the motor, and I was wondering what would need to be modified to make work in my 96 Corolla DX. Thanks in advance. -Josh

Here's the car, by the way. I know she's seen better days, lol.

I suggest getting the ECU and harness. And yes, you will need to do something about the hood for clearance. I was also in the process of doing a auto to manual swap. For this the list is a bit long. But basically you need brake and clutch pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder. Tranny mount and stay support is different. Also I'm pretty sure the rear mount is different. Clutch fluid lines. Clutch start switch needs to be spliced to neutral safety switch wiring. That's basically it. I would also consider replacing the clutch before you install it into the car.

Yeah, you'd need the hood with the hood scoop. Or, just relocate to a front-mount intercooler. I am planning this swap one day, it is pretty straightforward considering it is an engine swap LOL. But it is not easy....

Yeah, I never took into consideration it was a hydraulic throw-out. I might just wait on the tranny then. And, I think I will just buy some tubing and mout the intercooler elseware. I want to leave the car looking as stack as possible.
