205/40/17 since they are cheaper than 215/40/17..... haha im kinda broke. I found some 205/40/17 Nexen N3000's for like $55 a tire. They are summer tires.. I live down south and we hardly get any snow, but a lot of rain instead.

Awesome. That's what I've got on mine (205/40/17). Just be sure to check the date stamp on the sidewall of the tyre before you buy them to make sure they haven't been sitting around for years .

If you can ask questions before you buy them then definitely ask about the manufacturing date on the tyres. But since you're buying them online there's no guarantee that the tyres they told you the date of are the ones you are going to receive. If they're a reputable company that are sellings hundreds of tyres a month then there shouldn't be anything to worry about as the stock should be fairly recent. If you notice that the date stamp on the tyres is over 2-3 years old when you receive them then definitely send them back .

Not a fan of 8-hole "universal" rims like these. This pattern looks cheap anyway. It's waaay too simple.
Also, the N3000 is a decent-ish tyre, but after losing traction myself in the wet several times (one time causing me to challenge a lane divider...and lose), I'm not a Nexen fan.
You mentioned you're broke right now. Why not save up a bit more over the next month or so and buy a better set of wheels and tyres?
I saved up and right now, I'm using TSW Venom VX-1 wheels wrapped in Kumho Solus KH16 rubber on the car right now and it's consistently pretty sticky wet and dry, and not very expensive (except the KH tyres don't last for more than a year).
Tirerack actually rates them better in the wet than the Dunlop Direzza DZ101.
Save up and get urself something better. There's no hurry, and you'll enjoy it more when u get it.
You can get used wheels for a couple hundred more than that and they will hold up better in the long run as well if you buy a name brand, even if it's their base model.

The Solus is more of a passenger tire...their performance tires are usually the Ecstas which is in the same category as the Direzzas...
Anyways, I agree. Why buy cheap parts if you're broke when you can just wait and save up? You're wasting your money in the long run cause I know you're gonna want to upgrade to more legit parts in the future. When I was shopping for wheels, I was gonna guy some Rotas at first but decided why fake the funk when you can just save up and get the real thing and that's exactly what I did. As for the wheels, not my cup of tea but to each their own They remind of the wheels on that Eclipse from the first Fast and The Furious.
I was randomly browsing through CarDomain and came across this Corolla with the same rims as the ones you were wanting to get. Unfortunately the picture you posted in this thread no longer shows up, but from memory I'm pretty sure these are the same. They suit well in my opinion.
