headlights dimming

i have never noticed this before, but lately while driving at night it seems whenever i apply the brake my headlights kinda dim really fast and go back to normal brightness again... im not sure whats going on with that.. what could it be?

Check the belt tension on your alternator. When you press the brakes, and the brake lights come on, it's drawing power and the alternator is not putting out enough to compensate.
May be just a loose belt and alt not getting enough RPM's to supply the electrical needs. Headlights draw quite a bit of juice.
If it's not that, your alternator or battery may be going out. Test them next.

you need to build LED tail lights like I did..... the brake lights made my interior lights dim for a sec like you say, but not with LEDs!!
