Is-this the proper way to check whell bearing and ball joint?
I am trying to find the cause of a clunk issue in the front of my car
Is-this the proper way to check for ball joint and the wheel bearings?
- Wheel bearing test: I raised the front of the vehicle, put it on jack stands. I spun the wheel and it was smooth, no grinding.
- with the vehicle still raise, I grab the wheel at various positions (6 & 12 then 9 & 3 o'clock) and rock the wheel up, down, sideway, back, forth etc. with no play whatsoever
my car clunk when I hit a little bump or when I pull out of my driveway. It can't be the struts because they are relatively new. Once moving, the car is smooth.
