Upper Radiator Hose Connector Problem

Okay, I made a huge error. 1st, I need new gaskets. Who can tell me what these are called? Second, The bottom bolt (see images below) has broken off into the slot. What is a practical solution? Perhaps a lot of gasket sealant on the bottom half? The Top bolt secures it fairly well (I hope).

Your biggest problem is getting the broken bolt out. If you cant spin it with pliers, you'll have to drill it out. Also your other hole looks like its been boogered up too. Did someone run some US bolt in it?

You'll need an o-ring to put it all back together, not a gasket. Remove all that silicone that doesnt belong there!

To get the bolt out, get a pair of easy outts/screw extractors. You may be able to get it out without needing to drill it out and retap the hole.

so just a simple o-ring? Or is there a specific term for it?

Also, what is this part called?

I've had very poor success with easy outs myself and cursed at all the ones others broke off and expected me to take them out!

The o-ring should be square and it may be described as a water outlet. Its probably a dealer only item but you might get lucky at the parts store.

The final verdict? Needed a radiator too. $354 and as good as new. Not bad.
