Looking for a car for my girl since her Ford Focus is the worst car EVER made. there terrible. Anyways. Would you pay $1500 for this? Its power everything inside and the body is in good shape. It has 177,000 miles on it. Let me know guys. Thanks
$1500 NZD maybe, $1500 USD probably not. It looks to be in good shape body-wise, but the mileage is getting up there quite a bit at 177,000 miles. Admittedly, Corollas tend to almost go forever before dying, but at that sort of mileage you have to factor in the price of a cambelt/water pump change, amongst other things that generally fail with age (such as shocks, valve stem seals etc).
If the engine has been routinely maintained then you should get a lot more mileage from it, but if the oil has only been changed once every 2-years or something then you'd be taking a bit of a risk in terms of reliability. Anything is better than a Ford Focus though, so if you're happy with it go for it, but try and talk the price down a little if you can .

offer $1200 cash, if you really want it, go up a little, not more than $100. It's tax time, people don't have money and if this person is serious about selling, it will be yours.
If the oil looks clean (no sludge under the cap and inside the head isn't dark black and thick), it doesn't ring when wound up and runs solid, I wouldn't think twice about it. That car would fetch 2500cdn here as the body is clean and its the newer model.

Boost, may you RIP.
We ended up buying her a 1999 Chevy Prizm with only 124,000 for $1600. It runs like a top and only suffers a fist sized dent as its downfall. No biggie! Glad to see i could find my girlfriend a good deal.
