Question Is it possible to run low pressure boost on 4AFE with stock ECU and internals?

Reading up on the forum about boosted 4AFEs in 7th gen Corollas, it is quite apparent that targeting anything above 170hp and doing it properly would require standalone fuel management, stronger pistons + rods and possibly clutch and tranny.

But what if one would be satisfied with a bit less power?
Suppose one could somehow pressurize the intake (fit a supercharger for instance) at max 6-7psi of boost to get up to say 150hp. From what I understand the stock ECU with MAP sensor will just set its longest injection pulse duration, when the intake is at atmospheric pressure or boost. Would it suffice to replace the stock injectors with bigger ones to prevent leaning out the engine at 6-7psi boost and fully open throttle?

Will the stock ECU be able to adjust the mixture correctly with the throttle partially open, by shortening the injection pulse? Based on the info from oxygen sensor. Or would it just run rich?
Would it be necessary to upgrade the fuel pump or change the fuel pressure regulator?

I doubt that adding 40hp will seem worth it to most people, but it is just a bit of an academic interest. Is there something that makes this setup totally impossible? Like tranny or clutch not being able to handle the extra power? Assume, for the sake of argument, that supplying the pressure to the intake is not an issue. Can things be messed up by pressurizing the intake, like PCV valve and whatnot?

To summarize, the idea would be to pressurize the intake at max 6-7psi and match it with bigger injectors. All else stock. Do you think it would be possible?

At 8 lbs I made 180whp.
Motor basically was untouched. Just fuel management and injectors.

Whats your goal, how much you willing to spend, why not just swap in a ae101 4agze or 20v 4age?

Goal would be 150-160hp at the crank. Stock internals, stock ECU. I was hoping to be able to install a small supercharger where the AC compressor otherwise is located. Or perhaps ditch power-steering. This way, one could just remove its drivebelt or the whole thing to pass emissions. If the stock ECU could still manage the bigger injectors there would not be any need to remove them at least. If this is nowhere near enough I'll just skip it and perhaps focus more on the suspension.

I would rather not spend more than $1000 on that project. Clearly, supercharger kits cost way more than that, but junkyard parts can be found cheaper. Turbo chargers or AC compressors can be had for $200. I would be doing all the work myself, but I don't have the tools to take out the whole engine.
Another problem with an engine swap, or any permanent mods for that matter, is all the friggin red tape that is involved. If a particular model did not come with a certain engine over here, forget swapping in anything other than the same motor.
My biggest problem is really to make this an on-off mod which is semi-easy to install/uninstall once a year.

People can fail the emissions test if there is a pinhole leak on the exhaust pipe, with the motivation that it is not possible to properly measure the toxic content of the exhaust gas if the exhaust system is leaking. Sure, clearly one cannot have cracks on the exhaust manifold, but the final muffler? That is just ridiculous.
