Bought a '97 Corolla

Hey guys, so I just found my next car. It's a 97 Corolla SD. Can anyone tell me what model the SD is? I'm guessing it's the base model since it looks like crap anyways hahaha

Here's a pic

I got it for $2000, it has 125,000km with 8 new tires (winter/summer tires).
Problems I've found so far: a couple dents, rust (always winter driven) and I'm pretty sure the engine takes oil but the lady didn't want to mention it too much. The battery needs to be replaced also.

Any good info about this junk would be good to know, thanks guys

Hi: It could mean Sedan or Standard aka base model. When you mentioned "engine takes oil" did you mean it is leaking or burning? Not too much wrong with this generation. Pretty reliable even though this is the year that Toyota started decontenting, read cheapening their vehicles. Check the normal stuff, oil, fluids, etc and also the Tming belt and the oil seals (crankshaft, camshaft, oil pump). That's about it

I don't know if it's leak or burning. I'm guessing it's burning it since I couldn't find any leaks underneath. I'll find out later on.

Does anyone know if there are some OEM or Haynes manuals online that can be downloaded?
So far I've only found some schematics mostly for random crap that I don't even have. I was looking for the headunit harness wire colours and such.
Engine pdf's would be good too.
