1995 Toyota Corolla DX Electrical Problem

Hello,

As mentioned I have a 1995 Corolla. A few weeks back when I pressed on the brake pedal I couldn't shift out of park unless I used the override switch and my brake lights didn't work either. This had happened before and when I took it to a mechanic they changed the fuse and the brake lights and it was working again.

I did the same things and it works momentarily but as soon as I put it in park again (sometimes while I'm driving even) the brake lights will stop working again and I can't shift it out of park without using the override.

Any ideas on what I should try next?

Thanks

-Sam

Check the bulbs in your tails and high mount brake light...

One of the bulbs is burned out, and fusing the circuit together causing a short.

Change ALL OF THE BULBS, clean the sockets of any corrosion and then replace the appropriate fuse.

Done.
