Able to move wheel back & forth by hand?

I have a 94 Prizm and had the front driver's side wheel jacked up. I was able to move the wheel(loose play) in any direction, horizontal and vertical. I took the wheel off and put my lug nuts on the rotor and was able to move the rotor. Nothing else moved but the rotor. I did try to search other post and it sounds like it's probably gonna be a wheel bearing. I don't hear any bad bearing sound when I spin the wheel by hand. Could it be a loose axle nut?

If I get a hub from a junk yard will one from the frontpassenger side work on the driver's side? Does each wheel hub have two bearings in it?

The only way the axle nut could get loose, is if the cotter pin was missing. If it is missing, then try torquing it down. Uses a rather large socket. Other than that ounds like a wheel bearing. Don't drive on a bad enough wheel bearing that you can wobble things around, your whole wheel/hub assembly can come off on the fly.

Probably the bearing. Its not worth pressing out a used hub and putting it in. With the work involved, just get a new one and do it right unless you can get the whole assy from the wrecker. The assy is side specific, the bearing and hub isn't

try tightening the driveshaft nut first, long 30mm socket needed.if that doesn't solve the problem, it'll be wheel bearing.
and if you don't have a bearing press, just get another hub from the scrapyard
