Question Cat recommendation?

I'm going to replace my cat, because of my dreaded P0420 code, was wondering has anyone had any luck with the OE aftermarket cats, the ones in the 90-130$ range, the shop guy said the cat was $340 for him and direct OEM online was like $500,which is way too much if these other ones will work for a few years and pass emissions. If so can you recommend a brand, it will be a direct fit, replacing it myself no welding involved.

Also wondering will I need to replace the gaskets between the converter and pipes or do they usually hold up well?Whats the best way to find out what the replacement bolts will be without taking them off the exhaust first? Thanks.

Dont even attempt this job if you dont have a torch to remove the bolts.

Bolts are 10mm. New gaskets are a must. the old ones will NOT be reusable or maybe even unidentifiable amongst the rust.

I've had good luck buying converters from Summit Racing.

Magnaflow bolt-on OEM replacement cats work pretty well.

I have one myself.

Yeah I think I'll be going for magnaflow, through all the research even though I've heard some negative it is the brand that is talked about the most. All I know is I can replace 4 of these before I hit the price of the OEM cat. They probably don't come with gaskets right?Do you think grabbing them from a local parts sore would be fine just a basic cat flange gasket? And do you happen to know the bolt size?
