95 Corolla Engine Serial Number location

Just bought a 95 Corolla but the engine was replaced. Guy had no paper work for it. Need to know where the serial number location is on the engine so I can make sure I get the right parts. Don't even know if the engine is 95!

The engine number is stamped into the block, to the right of the exhaust manifold. You will most likely have to take off the heat-shield in order to see it. You'll also have to get down quite low as it is engraved vertically.
