Canada 7AFE questions about Injectors

So I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla DX with a 5-speed 7AFE with 303,000km

I want to upgrade my injectors... I've seen a few different ones on ebay but I don't know much about engines myself and I wanted some opinions.
I'm just going to state the mods I have done under the hood and then I hope some people could suggest a good set of injectors to give me more power

1.8L 7A-FE 16V DOHC
5-speed
--Engine Runs on All Synthetic 10w-30 oil + Fram High Milage Oil Filter
* Short Ram Intake
* Preformance Headers and Downpipe with the CAT removed and straight piped
* 4" Preformance Muffler
* NGK Irridum Plugs and Wires
* Brand new Alternator + belt as of today

Interested in Any Opinions or any Ideas on how to make it faster.. thanks very much

I'd suggest a blacktop 20V head with a VVT-i controller and a decent map, that'll bring a a few HP and a savage sound
N/A toyota tuning is hard because there are little enough parts around, not even sure if anyone makes high-lift cams or anything...

if you just put in bigger injectors the engine will overfuel, you have to get it mapped...and for that, not sure what the availability of chips/fuel-controller piggyback ecu's is, but with a standalone and the above 0V head you'd get decent power.
then again you did say suggestions to make it faster

basically injectors alone wont give much more power...

The first thing I'd do to make it faster would be to remove the short ram intake and install a cold air intake. The hot engine bay heat will be drawing away your power, especially if you've got no heat-shield or heat-wrap on the aftermarket headers. I was running a short ram for a long time, and definitely noticed the difference once I upgraded to a CAI. It is relatively simple to do and is worth the effort

Easy - I did it on my 5A-FE which has everything in exactly the same place as a 7A-FE.

The battery only has to be moved over a couple of centimetres, and it retains all the factory mounting points without any need for modification. I used 3" piping for mine, but if you use 2.5" piping it will be even easier.

All you have to do is remove the factory black resonator box just behind the front bumper and grind the hole bigger in your engine bay. It's a piece of cake to do using a Dremel.

Then you just cut the piping to suit and join it together with silicone joiners. I'd recommend buying two 125-degree intercooler pipes as they're the right shape and will cut down on the amount of joins there are.

Here's some pics:

Fair enough. The photo makes the filter appear much more vulnerable than it actually is. It sits close to the front part of the bumper, so the chances of stones getting up there are minimal. If you don't cut the whole part of the splash tray out like I did then the chances will be even less. Also, rain doesn't affect it. The only way you're going to hydro-lock the engine is if you fully submerge the pod filter in water. In my opinion, the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Other than a CAI, you could always replace the factory induction hose that leads to the pod filter with a larger, more flexible hose.

That's how I had my set-up before upgrading to a CAI. You still suck in hot engine bay heat due to the short ram, but the hose at least helps to feed some cold air in there:

Another option is to extend the pipe from the throttle body, which brings the pod filter closer to the front of the car. You will need to turn your battery around to do this however. Again, this will still suck in hot air, but the battery blocks the majority of it. This is a photo of what one member on these forums did:

Nice Corolla. I like the colour, looks like you did a good job with the valve cover too.

As for installing a hood scoop to get air to the short ram, it would work, but off-centered hood scoops look a little weird in my opinion. A series of 2 or 3 vents would look better and work just as well, if not better.

Another option would be to box the pod filter in by using some sort of divider between the filter and the engine bay. Sheet metal would work well. It will get a bit of heat-soak after a while, but will certainly keep the temp levels down. Wrapping the induction pipe in heat reflective tape would help to keep things cool too.

There are a lot of options available, but it mainly comes down to personal preference and how much time/money you want to spend

Right on.. I'll talk it over with my mechanic
Thing is I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and apparently thats the worst place in the world to own a car because were surrounded by ocean and we have crazy winters and the roads are fucked and u get coated so bad in salt.. thats why i wouldnt put the filter down by the wheel well.

you've got nothing done that would come close to maxing out the stock injectors. you need to get into forced induction for that.
