Replacing valve cover gasket (1.6L) - anything else at same time?

Just curious if getting the valve cover off makes anything else easier to replace. I'm getting some seepage from the front of the valve cover and want to replace it before it gets worse. I'll be using the felpro kit w/ the spark plug tube seals and new bolt grommets.

I thought I had an oil consumption issue but I think it may just be getting out. On the other hand, car spends most of its time at 3500rpm in 5th (all tollway driving) so that could be part of it too. Never get worse than 29mpg so it can't be that bad.

not especially, I mean it is a top level part, but then again, it does not make anything harder to replace either lol

with that kit and the contents it'll newly seal off all ends of the rocker cover anyway.

taking off the rocker cover wont make it easier to replace things though, although you could put in some different cams easier lol

It's a good time to clean and paint your valve cover. If you're into that.
