Installing a Push Button Starter Switch

After no success trying to get the car to start with a key twist...

I am considering tempormanently installing a push button starter in my 95 corolla. Is there a convenient way to run a wire from the center console to the engine bay?

See you then,

Andy

You don't have to.. you can just jump the wires that attach to the ignition tumbler...

Hi, I bought a push on switch and I would like to know which wire do I cut and connect to the push on button? The button has 2 screws only at the back end to connect the wires to. Thank you so much in advance... BTW my car is an ae101.

Thanxx so much miib14. I dont have any access to an s2000 starter button, what I have with me right now is a contact block with a push button on it. the wire side ends only have two screws to attach the wire to. Ive done it before but i had to run up some wires from the passenger cabin to the engine bay and tap one of the wire to the bolt end of the starter and I think the other is the solenoid. It does start, but looks kinda icky from those wires sticking to the starter. Im thinking if I could run the wires from the ignition set of wires, that would be much cleaner without all those wires. My question is which wire to cut and to tap into? any ideas guys? I'm thinking one would be the live wire(any idea which color??) and the other one would be to the starter (any idea which color ??) to kick it start with the push of the button.

Here's how the contact block looks, without the push button thing. the srew where the number 3 and 4 is where you put your wires into, the one in the middle is the screw for the push button to join the block.

Thanxx so much in advance guys.
