I looked below the car after driving and there appears to be dripping fuel under the passenger/driver seats. I was going to take it to get it looked at but I thought I'd ask here if you had any suggestions?
Joking aside, seeing as how you're from Ohio, rust might be the reason like what everyone said. I'm fortunate enough to live where it doesn't snow so I don't have that issue. Mine does smell when the car is in the garage after I drive it or if I start it for the first time in like a week but I think that's normal.
You could get lucky and just a hose is loose or needs replacement, but the lines from the fuel tank take a lot of abuse form our salty winters. Pull out the seat, and check where its leaking.
Also on an unrelated (possibly related?) note, I also noticed my brakes had more give to them yesterday and it seems like on a slant that the pedal seemed spongy and even when I had it pushed all the way to the floor the car rolled to a stop
I haven't had any brake problems prior to this and the brakes were done a year or two back
Sounds like your fuel lines have a leak in them given the location of the leak. I don't know what your mechanic will say, but mine has quoted me $400 for parts/labor to make and install new lines to give you an idea.
The fuel AND the brake lines were rusted through. $500 to fix them but on the plus side the mechanic said besides a leaking radiator hose the car is in excellent condition. I will hold onto this one for another year or so
ya, I went through this, I would replace it before it starts dumping. If is is a rotted feed line, like mine was it will start with drips, then eventually just dump loads of gas, very unsafe.
I changed mine myself, they actually had one IN STOCK at the dealer. The guy said they sell a lot of them - too bad it isn't a recall.
I think the line was around 80 bucks, but I also had to get the piece that goes between the tank and the main feed line, because the fitting was impossible to loosen, even after a day of soaking with PB Blaster. This piece was another 40, and they had to order it.
The job only took about and hour of so, it wasn't that bad, and I was working on the ground, not on a lift.
Luckily the end at the fuel filter was not an issue. It broke loose easily.
Hmm, no leak at the brake or return lines yet, but maybe I will replace them this summer, just in case. I left the plastic cover off, because it seems like it helps hold moisture against the lines.
Good Luckl

The fuel filter is in the engine compartment under the EGR canister. If you remove the backseat, you will have access to the gas tank. I have replaced mine before, and these things are highly pressurized. So if you have a crack in the tank, things like gas tank repair kits and JB weld sometimes aren't strong enough to seal the crack. If you are near a local junkyard then chances are that they have a few rollas. You can get lines, or a tank for cheap.

You need to drop the fuel tank to change the 2 lines that goes into the tank right? I ordered the main fuel line and return line last year, it only goes to near the tank then there are 2 separate sections that goes into the tank
