4age to 7afe head swap

I've been searching around trying to find a straight anwser to this question. I'm looking at adding hp to my 96 7afe. What i want to know is can you swap the head from a 4age to a 7afe? And also what exactly what i need to do this and roughly what hp i might gain if i do so. Or would i be better off swapping out the 7afe for a 4age. I'm looking at adding hp on a budget, but if i need to spend the money i will.

Also how hard is it to do an automatic to manual conversion? and is it possible?

Any and all help would be great.

Thanks

I would think that this would be possible as I was trying to put a 7A block with my 4AGE head on my old 88 Corolla GTS. I was told that it would be easy to swap out for the stroked 7A block & that the 2 blocks were the same outside. I'm sure that others can confirm if this is true.

You can, its been done, its not cheap, but it is an awesome build and will be a good motor when done. The redline will be around 6500 though as the 7afe crank won't take much more.

i was interested in this as well but i found out it is rather exspensive but you do get great hp gains
you need the 4age/ze head, 4agze pistons, the 7a rods work but new OEM are preferred, also out off a 4a engine you'll need the fuel lines, injectors, fuel pump, as well as the ECU

after hearing this and looking for parts and prices i decided to just build my 7a and turbo down the road and just run low boost
