Toyota Corolla DX 1996 brake master cylinder

Does any body know how to replace brake master cylinder? If there are some pictures available it would be really helpful.
Thanks

I have never taken one out before, so this is all hypothethical

there should be some bolts holding it down in the engine bay, under part of the wiring loom...also it will be connected to the brake pedal itself, I assume with a clip or so (and I see this being awkward to get at to say the least.

also bear in mind that you'll have to bleed the whole break system after you've changed it over

A good thing to do before starting this job would be to have small caps ready to put over the master cylinder's fittings. It would also pay to have plastic bags or rags underneath to catch any spillage, as brake fluid will damage your paint.

I'd highly recommend getting yourself a Haynes manual for your Corolla, as it has step by step instructions on how to do this job (along with plenty of others) and also includes exploded diagrams so that you can see exactly how each part comes apart and fits back together.

I'm happy to type the whole procedure out for you, but purchasing the manual will be a lot easier to work with and will also come in handy for any future repairs

Sorry but I'm going to say if you have to ask, you shouldnt be doing the job!

These ARE YOUR BRAKES! I dont want you to get hurt if it doesnt come out right.

Learn to do some simple work before tackling brake hydraulics.
