BZ Touring heat mixer problem

I have a BZ Touring corolla and the heater does not mix. Its either cold or hot and nothing in between. Also the auto function on the blower does not work, it just blows at full. Im sure itis a fairly simple part to replace but cant find any info on which part it is. Any idea's?

Hmm, I've never experienced this problem myself, but the cause of the blower always operating at full speed could be due to a faulty blower motor resistor (which is found underneath the dash on the passengers side). It should simply unscrew from the blower motor once you have unplugged the electrical connector. A good way to check it would be to use a continuity tester (voltmeter), by checking that there is equal continuity between all terminals.

As for the temperature control, it could be something as simple as a linkage that has come off. A good thing to do would be to remove the heater/air-con control assembly in the centre console and make sure that all of the linkages are still intact. As far as I know, you can also adjust these cables, if need be, by tightening the clamp.

Good luck!

BZ Touring heat mixer problem

Thanks heaps for the replys!! The blower doesnt always run at full. It does operate as it should from low to high, its only when i switch it to auto that it stays at full. As for the temp, all the linkages seem to be fine. I do get heat, and good heat at that, but i only have the 2 options, cold or well hot. I cant mix cold and hot together to get a medium heat shall we say. I have seen a solution before but cant find that solution again. There was a similar description and the one solution was an easy part to replace but cant remember the part. From what i remember it was a plug in part that was fairly small and covered by a heat sink.
